NFTs For Dummies

Good Book on NFT’s But Do Your Homework First!
I was anxious to learn about NFT’s and preordered the hard book. Through the power of the Interwebs I had learned most of what I needed to know by the time a kindle version was available preceding my hard book delivery so I canceled and opted for the kindle version anyway. My advice if your new to NFT’s and blockchain currency is to secure your device or computer with antivirus protection, use a vpn connection, use a password manger for strong passwords and protection, opt for two factor authentication (2FA) with all accounts online whenever available to you and especially with the site you buy your crypto from (I.e. Coinbase) (I use a Yubico Yubikey for 2FA), use a hardware wallet to store the private keys to your crypto and never share your recovery phrases ever. I would highly recommend researching about computer and device security first or try to find a companion book on Amazon on crypto protection and computer security before jumping in for fear of missing out.. Kindle version is always on my device for reference but do your due diligence.
Update: I would also consider the tax implications of both your blockchain currency and NFT transactions. They have separate tax reporting scenarios so be sure to keep strict accounting and seek out an expert CPA with familiarity with blockchain currency and NFT tax laws. A lot of people jumped in and didn’t consider the consequences of taxes, so again do your homework!
